Online databases such as Westlaw UK and Lexis+ primarily provide access to case law from the High Court and above.

Certain Tribunal decisions may appear (e.g. Employment Appeal Tribunal) and they may carry a small selection from other lower Courts and Tribunals*

To find cases from a specific Court go to Cases Search in Westlaw, select 'More Options' and type in the name of the Court in the Court field. This can be combined with other search terms or keywords. In Lexis+ a similar approach can be taken by selecting Cases content first, and then using the Advanced Search page.

If you are unable to find decisions of the lower Courts or Tribunals using the resources above, you may be able to find more information by visiting the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary website. This includes judgments and sentencing remarks for Courts and Tribunals with additional search filters.

BAILII (British and Irish Legal Information Institute) provides access to freely available legal information and also has some coverage of Tribunals and lower Courts from their Case Law Search page.

*editorial criteria for inclusion might be due to the subject matter, subsequent appeals, procedural guidance or even inclusion in a series of Law Reports.
