Students enrolled in the SQE Starter Course, SQE1 Preparation (Self-Study), and SQE2 Preparation are not provided with access to the BPP Online Library. It is not expected that you will need to use library subscription resources, as all the information required to complete your course is provided in the materials available on the Hub.

For any references to finding or reading cases or legislation, we recommend using freely available resources. You can utilise Twitter feeds, news feeds, and the Useful Links section on our library pages. Navigate to the Law Pages for Case Law or Legislation and use the Useful Links provided there.

While some freely available resources may not be as comprehensive or frequently updated as subscription resources, they still offer valuable information. For example, you can access case law from court websites or the British & Irish Legal Information Institute, and legislation from legislation.gov.uk. Additionally, you can find updates, news, and current legal discussions on the UK Parliament website, legal blogs, and the websites of law firms and barristers' chambers.

Publisher websites like Lexis (LexisNexis) and Westlaw (Thomson Reuters), along with other legal publishers, often provide free updates and feeds of new material to help you stay informed.

Another excellent source of free information is Venables Legal Resources. Under the headings for Individuals, Lawyers, and Case Law, you will find a list of free resources and recommendations similar to our Useful Links.

Lastly, consider subscribing to the Internet for Lawyers Newsletter for additional free resources and updates.
