Even in a small library it is difficult to find a particular book just by looking along the shelves. To locate a book, navigate to the Online Library guide for BusinessLawNursing or Technology and use 'Find a Book'.

From the drop-down menus under the search box, choose your centre (e.g. Shepherd's Bush), and decide how you want to search: ‘words or phrase’ and ‘subject’ if you wish to browse, or by ‘Author’ and ‘Title’ if you know the book you’re searching for. When you identify a book, you will see the shelf number after the title. It may appear like this: 658.15 P. This will correspond to the numbers on the book spines on the shelves and the initial of the author’s surname. The sequence goes from 001 to 999.
